Well I heard about this toast Early Times Whiskey made up called the “Joe the Plumber Toast.” They actually call for the main ingredient to be red plumb juice! How elitist is that? If that’s not offensive to plumbers everywhere then I don’t know what is. I got so fired up about it I sat down and did an interview about it from my home in Weed, KY. You can view the interview here. The press picked up on it too, and you can read one of the press statements below. Anyway, I offered up my own Toast to Plumbers which you can see on my main website or below. I mean, RED PLUMB JUICE?!?!?!?!?!
Oct 30, WEED, Ky.–Mr. Jeremiah Weed, the patron father of Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur, released a
video on his YouTube site, suggesting Early Times Whiskey has offended plumbers everywhere with their “Joe the Plumber Toast.” The Early Times toast calls for a main ingredient of red plumb juice, a detail Mr. Weed calls “elitist.”
“What self-respecting plumber would drink red plumb juice?” Mr. Weed asked rhetorically from his home in Weed, Kentucky. “Where would you even find red plumb juice? It’s probably easier to find Early Times than it is red plumb juice.”
Instead, ahead of the Presidential election, Mr. Weed offered his own “True Plumber Toast” which he posted on his website, JeremiahWeedBourbon.com. The toast calls for drinking Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur “straight up” in a glass.
“Joe 6-Pack or Joe the Plumber – Nobody’s going to drink red plumb juice. Even if they liked it, they couldn’t find it. It’s elitist. Just drink Jeremiah Weed straight up. That’s the way you do it.”
Jeremiah Weed’s True Plumber Toast and other recipes can be found on the official Jeremiah Weed website, www.jeremiahweedbourbon.com.

While I was reading the news the other day I came across an article about “Patriotism” and honoring our troops. Without delving too deeply into the author’s feelings about Iraq and Afghanistan, I wanted to post my thoughts on patriotism from a historical context. As my fellow Kentuckians are aware, this great state, and of course our country as a whole, has sacrificed a great deal so that we may live free from tyranny and oppression. And while we are not a perfect society, and I dare any of my readers to list any through history that were, we are darn close. So, in my own way, I honor those who gave so much by tipping a glass, or three, of my best Bourbon.
To Daniel Boone, who opened the way through the Cumberland Gap and into the Ohio Valley for those hearty soles that eventually settled the Blue Grass State.
To John Hunt Morgan, Brigadier General and Commander of the 2nd Kentucky Calvary, and Basil Wilson Duke who took over command after Morgan fell in battle.
To Jefferson Davis, who served as President of the CSA.
To Major General, and former Vice President, John C. Breckinridge who led the “Orphan Brigade” to many a glorious victory during the Civil War.
To the 23 Medal of Honor recipients hailing from Kentucky who gave their all for our freedom.
To the 7,400 Kentuckians who serve in the state’s reserve units, whether they be Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard.
And a special toast to those airmen who lift a glass of Jeremiah Weed after a successful mission.
To these men and women, and the many more not listed, I toast, for they are the true patriots. They lay their lives on the line in service to this country every day so that we who do not can speak freely without fear. Because to them it is the action, not the word, that is patriotic.

By now you’ve heard about the video I did involving Paris Hilton. If not, you can view them on the Jeremiah Weed site HERE or on YouTube HERE. Will be interesting to see what happens with her Presidential bid, I must say. See you at the polls!
I’ll be back soon… Until then -

Thought I would post the latest news here. Big night for the citizens of Kentucky and for democracy in general.
Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur Beats Out Evan Williams for Kentucky’s Bourbon Title in Primary Poll
May 21 – Weed Kentucky – Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur joined Hillary Clinton in the winner’s circle Tuesday night by scoring an impressive victory in the much-publicized Kentucky Bourbon Primary Poll over Evan Williams Bourbon. In a hotly contested election full of rancor and controversy, Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur was able to prevail above the fray, winning over the citizens of Kentucky in convincing fashion with over 55 percent of the popular vote.
The patron father of Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur, Mr. Jeremiah Weed, had roundly criticized the makers of Evan Williams Bourbon for “playing politics” in the weeks leading up to Kentucky’s Presidential primary election when Evan Williams attempted to sway Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to sip Evan Williams bourbon by sending them bottles of Evan Williams. At the time, Mr. Weed called Evan Williams’ political ploys “a shame,” and urged the company to leave behind the “politics of product destruction” on his blog, Mr. Jeremiah Weed Speaks.
“All we have ever asked for is an unfettered election that would allow the people’s voices to be heard,” Mr. Weed stated. “Now that the fine citizens of Kentucky have spoken and sided with Jeremiah Weed, we intend to honor that vote by continuing to deliver them with the finest Jeremiah Weed product that we have for so many years.” He added that “with the election now over, it is time for all of us to unite and enjoy Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur together.”
The final primary results secure Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur’s reputation of “The People’s Bourbon” in Kentucky and across North America. The final primary election poll results can be viewed in full at JeremiahWeedBourbon.com.
Final Results From the Kentucky Primary Bourbon Poll
Which bourbon drink would you rather see Senators Clinton and Obama sip when they visit Kentucky to campaign for the Presidential primary election?
55% - Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur – The People’s Bourbon!
23% - Evan Williams Bourbon
22% - Politics in America would be less divisive if all races included ceremonial sipping, responsibly
of course, of Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur before every debate

Evan Williams just doesn’t know when to say when. After orchestrating this season’s biggest political scandal – an attempt to try and sway Senators Obama and Clinton to sip Evan Williams Bourbon when they visit Kentucky to campaign in the upcoming Presidential primary by sending them bottles of Evan Williams – they attacked me in a press release, and even called into question my very existence. Ridiculous. You can read the press release here.
Saying it is insulting to drink Jeremiah Weed is a deep and personal attack on the citizens of Kentucky, and for that matter all adult Americans who have a sophisticated palate. And, using the politics of product destruction to offer a lame defense of a blatant political grab – where what Evan Williams Bourbon was really up to was a secret attempt to influence the political process – is just unseemly.
It is a shame that Evan Williams continues to play loose with the facts and has resorted to the politics of product destruction. It is true that in the past I have sent bottles of Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur to some of this nation’s great patriots, including to the campaigns of Senators Obama and Clinton. However, these gifts are simply sent as gestures of appreciation, never in response to a political candidate sipping a competing product – and never in an attempt to influence the democratic process.
I have always stood tall and proud with the people of Kentucky and people all over North America and will continue to do so in the midst of controversy. I have assured the fine citizens here that democracy will prevail and that the people will ultimately decide the right thing. We at Jeremiah Weed Bourbon Liqueur are humble about being the best, and I’m confident the good people of Kentucky and quite frankly all over the world will confirm that in the much publicized bourbon primary poll at JeremiahWeedBourbon.com.
This all started with the campaign between Senators Obama and Clinton, which will be played out next Tuesday through The Bluegrass State. I just hope everyone at Evan Williams Bourbon will take a deep breath and put the citizens of Kentucky first.
All of this, understandably, prompted me to release a statement of my own. You can read my response here.
I look forward to seeing many of you on the campaign trail as we continue to stand up for democracy.
I remain,
Sincerely yours,
Mr. Jeremiah Weed

As you may have read or heard, while campaigning a few weeks ago, Senator Hillary Clinton made a campaign stop at a local Crown Point, Indiana, bar and was photographed sipping a whiskey. It has now come to my attention that my good friends at Evan Williams Bourbon have sent bottles of their product to Senators Clinton and Obama in the hope that they will be seen drinking Evan Williams when they come to Kentucky in the coming weeks for the Presidential primary election. A gesture such as this serves only as political maneuvering and undermines the electoral process.
Evan Williams bourbon is clearly distraught over the fact that in Indiana, Senator Clinton chose to sip a whiskey that was not Evan Williams bourbon. This obviously caused Evan Williams to resort to political ploys to try to win the favor of Senators Obama and Clinton when they visit Kentucky, and in turn, unfairly influence the fine citizens there. In an electoral season full of strife and controversy, it is important for someone to speak out for the people, and as the patron father of “The People’s Bourbon,” I am confident that the people will ultimately settle this by seeing past the gimmicks of Evan Williams and declare Jeremiah Weed Kentucky’s true bourbon drink of choice.
I must say, I am offended by Evan Williams’ political posturing during these important times for our country. So, in response, I am announcing a new “primary” in the form of a poll at JeremiahWeedBourbon.com, which asks you, the people, to vote on what bourbon the Presidential candidates should sip when they arrive in Kentucky. By taking this issue directly to the people, we can move past political ploys and settle this issue in a democratic fashion. We can only hope Evan Williams doesn’t send bottles to Super Delegates in order to try to unfairly affect this critical electoral process further.
You can read the official press release here.

I remain,
Sincerely yours,
Mr. Jeremiah Weed

Welcome folks. As you may have heard or read, I am back after a long absence. I’ve spent a lot of of the past quarter century in the hills of Kentucky, every once in awhile passing riders in the woods whose flasks I refill. I so looked forward to the days when I heard the horses of the Weed drinkers coming up the path past my cottage. Those are some of the best people around. Now, the time has come for me to meet some of the other Weed drinkers. We all share a special bond and now finally, we have a venue to interact with one another.
For the foreseeable future, I will be sharing my thoughts on a host of subjects – politics; horseback riding and racing; air force fighters and the military; fishing; hunting and any other subject that is important to Weed drinkers like us. I, in turn, hope that you will share your thoughts with me.
I very much look forward to our discourse.
I remain,
Sincerely yours,
Mr. Jeremiah Weed
